Ναι έτσι είναι , το 550 έχει WiFi και Bluetooth.

Για εξωτερικό δέκτη εννοούσα να τον χρησιμοποιήσεις αντι για κεραία. Εχει καλούς με 20 E περίπου SirF 4.

Athermic screens were a problem on older models with a SiRF2 chipset but later models have SiRF3 and the problem has virtually gone away.

It will make a difference where you are parked as to how many Sats it can pick up e.g. high rise building all round where not all 12 Sats are 'line of sight'. Watch the screen and you'll see the arrow doing a 'breakdance' laugh.gif until you're locked on 4.

Where I park, at the end of my rear garden between two garages, I can usually get only 3 Sats and if I drive off it struggles to get a lock on more and only finds them when stopped at e.g. traffic lights. Knowing this I always stand in the middle of my garden and wait for 5 or 6 sats before setting up in the Pic. I position my 'sucker' at the bottom of the screen in line with the rear view mirror.

It also makes a difference to when and where you last used it.

Hot Start - When it's been used over the past 5 or 6 hours or so it will lock on in less than 30 seconds.
Warm Start - Usually over night where it could take a minute or so, the longer the gap the longer to lock.
Cold Start - Time To First Fix, when new, can take up to 30 minutes or more, even under a clear unobstructed sky, after which it should fall in one of the two above.

You would also get a cold start if e.g. You use the Sat Nav to get you to your destination, switch off and don't use it coming back. The longer the distance the longer it usually takes to work out where you are.

The most important thing to remember is NOT to drive off before you have a lock on a minimum of 4 Sats. 5 or 6 are preferable as one or two may be on their way over the horizon.

Personally I use a Mio P350 with Nav'n'Go iGO8 software and maps. biggrin.gif (You couldn't drag me back to TomTom).

Δεν το έχω πρόχειρο ... Τα κοίταζα πριν κανένα μήνα όταν μου είχαν κλέψει το pda και σκεφτόμουν να αγοράσω το Hp IPAq που δεν έχει ενσωματωμένο δέκτη GPS.
Μετά βρήκα ένα ίδιο με το .. κλεμένο μεταχειρισμένο και έτσι γύρισα στα .. παλιά λημέρια. Αν το googlαρεις όμως θα βρεις...

Smart, portable Garmin navigation system fits all new Volvo cars

In cooperation with Garmin, Volvo Cars has developed an elegant navigation kit that can be fitted to all new Volvo cars. The dealer installed accessory kit includes both a mounting bracket and the navigator unit. It will be available by the end of 2007.

Volvo Cars has designed a smart mounting bracket for Garmin's latest hand navigator, the nüvi 760. The bracket is fitted on top of the dashboard, offering the driver a convenient plug-and-play solution. This setup replaces the provisional suction cups and messy wires that often come with portable navigators. Volvo's bracket has an integrated power connection for the 178-gram Garmin unit - and the bracket can easily be folded out of the way when the driver takes the navigator out of the car.

The system has a number of other benefits:

•Its location on the dashboard has been chosen with care to make sure that the unit does not distract the driver and reduce his concentration on the road. A crash test evaluation by Volvo Cars' safety experts also determined that placing the unit on top of the dashboard helps to prevent injuries in the event of a collision.
•The navigator has a fully integrated antenna and a bright colour screen in widescreen format.
•The unit can easily be moved between different cars.
•The Garmin nüvi 760 comes pre-programmed with detailed two- and three-dimensional maps covering Europe (alternatively the USA and Canada).
•It also includes an integrated database with Volvo information, including the quickest route to the closest Volvo workshop.
The navigation package fits all new Volvo car models. It can also be fitted to a number of earlier car models. They include the Volvo S80 from model year 1999, the S60 and V70 from 2000, the XC70 from 2001 and recent model years of the Volvo S40, V50, C70 and XC90.

The package will initially be available in Europe and North America. The recommended price for a complete installation, including the Garmin unit, is 699 Euros in Europe and 879 US Dollars in North America.

Καλησπέρα, έχω ένα s40 του 2010, 1600cc.
Έχω πρόβλημα με το Dvd που διαβάζει το cd για το GPS, γνωρίζει κάποιος μαγαζί που πουλάει τέτοια ανταλλακτικά;
